Microsoft released Copilot Cowork through its Frontier programme. It handles long-running, multi-step tasks inside Microsoft 365, and a new Researcher feature lets you compare responses from different AI like Anthropic and OpenAI models side by side.

Multi-step task runner: Describe the outcome you want and Copilot Cowork creates a plan, works across your files and tools, and shows progress as it goes. Built for tasks like monthly budget reviews and sales workflows.
Model Council for research: The upgraded Researcher lets you compare answers from different AI models side by side, showing where they agree, where they differ, and what each brings to the table.
Claude and GPT built in: Copilot Cowork pulls from both Claude and GPT, with skills like calendar management and daily briefings already included.

OpenAI released a plugin that connects Codex to Claude Code. You can now delegate tasks to Codex or have it review your code without leaving your Claude Code session. It uses your existing ChatGPT subscription.

Code reviews on demand: Run a review command and Codex checks your changes. There is also an adversarial review mode that questions your design decisions and flags potential issues.
Delegate and continue: Hand a problem to Codex in the background while you keep working. Check status, view results, or cancel jobs from within Claude Code.
Works with your ChatGPT account: The plugin uses your existing ChatGPT subscription, including the free tier. No separate setup needed beyond installing the plugin.
